Agripath was pleased to present a segment on the financial considerations for winter crop planters. We prepared a comprehensive booklet for participants but we did also develop several ‘Rule of thumb’ metrics that we have gained from our database of 300 clients.

Whilst it is true that the process has become more challenging with the rapid hike in asset prices for families this statement only points to the far greater issue – a lack of profit in the business and planning to allow succession to happen.

At Agripath we are approaching 25 years of continuous data in the NW of NSW as we move to the 23/24 financial year. From 8 farms the dataset has grown to 90 farms. Below is a summary of how things have changed.
